Week 21 home & finances

“House ordering is my prayer, and when I have finished my prayer is answered. And bending, stooping, scrubbing, purifies my body as prayer doesn’t.”
– Jessamyn West

As Week 21 of the year rolls around, tackling seasonal maintenance—check your air conditioning system, clean gutters, and inspect outdoor spaces for repairs. Declutter a key area of your home, like the garage or pantry, to create a more organized environment.

On the financial side, review your budget for the first half of the year. Are you on track with savings goals? If not, adjust spending or automate contributions to savings accounts. This is also a good time to review recurring expenses—cancel unused subscriptions or renegotiate bills like internet or insurance.

For long-term planning, prepare for mid-year expenses, such as summer activities or home improvement projects. By staying proactive, you’ll keep your home running smoothly and your finances aligned with your goals. Small steps now can lead to big rewards later.
