Just like a Reese’s peanut butter cup only in bar form.

Ingredients

For the Base

  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the topping

  • 1 (11 oz) bag milk chocolate chips
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the base
    • In a medium bowl, combine vanilla, melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Mix until well combined.
  2. Press into pan
    • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish (or one lined with parchment paper).
  3. Melt chocolate topping
    • Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl (in microwave for 1-2 minutes at 50%) or using a double boiler, until smooth, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spread topping
    • Stir chocolate and pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter base, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  5. Chill
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is firm.
  6. Cut into bars
    • Once set, slide or lift the bars out of the pan using a spatula or the parchment paper and place them on a cutting board. Cut into squares or bars. I’ve cut them and left them in the pan if making bars for serving to a group outside my home.
  7. Optional garnish
    • If desired, sprinkle chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on top for an extra layer of indulgence.
  8. Serve
    • Store the bars in the refrigerator and serve chilled. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired
