Tasty easy greens to go with almost any meal.

Ingredients
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
- 2–3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced (optional)
- 10–12 ounces fresh spinach (about 1 large bag or bunch)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedge (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Prep the spinach
Rinse spinach thoroughly. If using bunch spinach, trim off thick stems. - Heat the pan
Heat olive oil (or butter) in a large skillet over medium heat. - Add garlic (optional)
Add sliced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, but not browned. - Add spinach
Add spinach in batches, tossing with tongs. As it wilts, add more until all is in the pan. - Season
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Continue to toss and sauté for 2–3 minutes until just wilted but still bright green. - Finish and serve
Remove from heat. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top if desired. Serve immediately.
Tips
- Don’t overcook: Spinach cooks quickly and should be just wilted.
- Add-ins: Try adding a 1/4 cup of sliced instead of the garlic, a pinch of red pepper flakes, toasted pine nuts, or grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
