Once, love lingered in the gentle hush
Of morning light upon your sleeping face—
A tapestry of laughter woven lush
With moments time can never quite erase.

Now, only echoes wander through these halls,
Soft shadows where our promises once lay,
A faded photograph, a distant call
That memory replays but can’t convey.

I gathered fragments, tried to make them whole,
Held tight to every shimmer, every sigh,
But seasons change, and hearts must let things go—
No matter how the past may plead or cry.

Today, I honor what we used to be:
A garden grown, now wild and overrun.
I plant new seeds, set my own spirit free—
Turn from the dusk to greet the rising sun.

For love that’s gone is not a bitter end,
But soil from which my hope will bloom again.
