Being vogue on the outside and vague on the inside comes down to projecting a polished, stylish exterior while feeling uncertain or unclear internally. It is an okay plan to ‘fake it until we make it’ to some degree but we can’t forget to own the change we are making and move ourselves into it with real life actions that grow us authentically. Faking it is not a place to live our lives every day. Recognizing ourselves in a change takes movement and courage and often feels uncomfortable so temporarily being in a state of disconnect is part of the natural progression.

Not owning the change, though, can lead to a longer than necessary disconnect between how others perceive us and how we truly feel about ourselves. Reflecting on our image, our values, our passions, and our goals in totality in a connected way, we can gain clarity. Practicing self-awareness and mindfulness to understand our emotions and thoughts better in connection with our image shared with the world allows us to step into the change we are making.

There is no need for us to be expecting the same performance and image to shine out of us every single day. We can rest in the changes, recover our equilibrium along the way. We can wrap these new ideas and better ways of thinking into our daily lives through slowly found acknowledgments.

Taking opportunities to communicate openly and honestly with others, sharing our true selves allow us to recognize that we are what we are showing the world. Surrounding ourselves with supportive people who encourage genuine expression is part of having the authentic experiences that bring joy to life. By aligning our inner and outer selves, we’ll feel more confident and more connected.
