Pure refreshing, naturally sweet apple juice.

This homemade apple juice is a refreshing and healthy beverage, free from preservatives and artificial flavors. The natural sweetness of fresh apples provides a delicious, pure taste that’s hard to beat. Making it at home allows you to control the ingredients, ensuring a nutritious drink. To preserve your apple juice, store it in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze the juice in freezer-safe containers, leaving some space for expansion. This way, you can enjoy the crisp, refreshing taste of homemade apple juice anytime.
Ingredients
- 10-12 medium apples (a mix of sweet and tart varieties works best)
- bit of sugar or honey if desired (adjust to taste)
- Water
Directions
- Prepare the Apples: Wash and cut the apples into quarters, removing any seeds and stems.
- Cook the Apples: Place the apple quarters in a large pot and add enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, until the apples are soft.
- Mash and Strain: Use a potato masher to mash the apples in the pot. Then, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl, pressing the solids to extract as much juice as possible.
- Sweeten (Optional): If desired, add a bit of sugar or honey to taste.
- Chill and Serve: Pour the juice into a pitcher and refrigerate until cold. Serve chilled.
This method gives you pure apple juice without the spices used in cider.
