Hearty strawberry Jello poke cake recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix (+ ingredients on box)
  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water + 1 cup cold water
  • Whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • Fresh strawberries (or fresh strawberries in syrup sauce)for garnish
  • Eggs for cake mix
  • Oil for cake mix

Directions

  1. Bake white cake in a 9×13 pan per box directions. Let cool 15 min.
  2. Poke holes all over with a fork or wooden spoon handle.
  3. Dissolve Jello in boiling water, add cold water, pour over cake.
  4. Refrigerate 2–3 hours.
  5. Top with Cool Whip and fresh strawberries. Serve cold.
