Ingredients

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or margarine)
• 10 oz marshmallows
• 1 teaspoon green food coloring

• 6 cups cornflakes (or rice crispies)
• Red bead cookie decorations, cinnamon candies or red M&M’s for decoration

Directions

1. Prepare baking sheets
   • Line a couple of baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Melt marshmallows
   • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
3. Add coloring and flavoring
   • Stir in the green food coloring and vanilla extract until the mixture is evenly colored.
4. Mix with cornflakes
   • Remove the saucepan from heat, and gently fold in the cornflakes until they are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
5. Shape wreaths
   • Working quickly while the mixture is still warm, drop spoonfuls of the cornflake mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. With buttered or greased hands, shape each spoonful into a wreath shape. You can use a round cookie cutter to help create a uniform shape if desired.
6. Decorate
   • While the wreaths are still tacky, decorate them with red cinnamon candies or red M&M’s to resemble holly berries.
7. Allow to set
   • Let the wreaths cool and set completely before removing them from the baking sheets. This usually takes about 1-2 hours.
8. Store
   • Once set, store the Corn Flake Christmas Wreath Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
