Ingredients
- 4 skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 -2 Tbsp good quality honey, organic is ideal
- 1/2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame or sauté oil of choice
- orange slices and chopped cilantro for garnish, if desired
Directions
- Whisk together garlic, honey, oyster sauce, soy sauce, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper in a large bowl
- Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper on both sides, and then toss chicken in sauce to coat chicken with sauce
- Heat oil in skillet on medium, cook sauce-coated chicken in skillet on both sides until golden brown on top, crispy on bottom, and cooked through, add and toss with orange slices if desired for last 3 minutes, Cooking for approximately 7-8 minutes per side for boneless thawed chicken thigh. Cooking approximately10-12 minutes per side for bone-in skinned thawed chicken thigh. Internal temp of chicken should reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) in center of meat.
- Plate chicken, garnish with orange slices and chopped cilantro if prepared
Note: This recipe works for chicken breasts and chicken drummies as well. Cooking time will vary for these options so ensure that the internal temp of chicken reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) in center of piece of meat.
