Easy, crusty Irish soda bread.

The delicious Irish bread is a combination of tangy buttermilk, slightly sweet raisins, and has a crusty exterior. The baking soda gives it a light, tender crumb. Pair with Irish butter or a good quality jam. It also complements soups and stews well. Slice the bread and serve it warm or toasted. Place it in a bread basket with butter and jam on the side.
