Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise and or Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles or finely chopped bread and butter pickles (for a sweeter sauce) or dill pickle relish or sweet pickle relish
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp capers, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (or ½ tsp dried dill) (optional)
- 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ketchup or cocktail sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles (or relish), lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.
- Add Optional Ingredients: If using, stir in finely chopped capers and minced garlic.
- Season: Add fresh dill and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
