Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (like to do 1/2 tsp sweet and 1/2 tsp smoked)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional (for a little kick)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Marinade
    • In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Tilapia:
    • Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F).
  4. Grill the Tilapia
    • Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
    • Place the marinated tilapia fillets on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Serve
    • Remove the grilled tilapia from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
    • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
