I Walk with Dragons

I Walk with Dragons

In the depths of gravely grasps, where demons tend to bay,
My dragons guard and circle, turning old wounds to decay.
With scales of ancient wisdom, my eyes can pierce the gloom,
Lessons taught of strength and courage, in the screeching doom.

They breathe fire as my trials, reduce them to honing,
Illuminate the path ahead, dispel the sickly moaning.
Resilience is their gift, a lesson gravely torn,
To rise from every pit, with spiritedness each morn.

Their wings unfurl in tar and dust, their roars a steadfast where-with-all,
That I am more than circumstance, I am the scraps from each grand fall.
In trials and in triumphs, their presence burns each day,
They show that worth is self-defined, not by what came my way.

Through every storm they strengthen me, with scales of solitude,
In their embrace, I earn my strength, learn my fortitude.
For resilience is not lack of pain endured,
But power to transform it, our painful sickness cured.

So, I walk with dragons all around, fierce and strong and known,
Embracing whatever comes next, with a heart that’s brave and honed.
In their fiery lessons and their bellows of secret weapons earned,
I find life’s beauty and resilience to be burned.
