Hearty Hawaiian Ham Sliders

These Hawaiian ham sliders offer a tasty combination of flavors and textures. The sweet Hawaiian rolls complement the savory ham and melted Swiss cheese, creating a perfect balance. Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • sesame seeds and poppy seeds for sprinkling on top (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  3. Layer Ingredients: Layer the ham evenly over the rolls, followed by the Swiss cheese. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  4. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and garlic powder.
  5. Pour Sauce: Pour the sauce evenly over the top of the rolls, making sure they are all covered.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds if desired. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.
