Hearty Chamomile Skin Toner

This Chamomile Skin Toner is a soothing and natural solution for your skincare routine. Making it at home ensures you avoid harsh chemicals and take advantage of chamomile’s anti-inflammatory properties, which can help calm irritated skin. Use the toner after cleansing, to refresh and hydrate your skin.

Consider using it whenever your skin feels stressed or needs an extra boost of moisture. For a cold compress, refrigerate the toner and soak a clean cloth in it then apply to skin. To use as part of your skin routine, apply the toner to your face with a cotton pad after cleansing your skin, or spritz it directly onto your face if using a spray bottle. Applying a compress to your face for 10-15 minutes can reduce puffiness and refresh your face. For a warm compress, heat the toner slightly (make sure it’s not too hot), soak a cloth, and apply it to your face to open pores and soothe tired skin. Alternating warm and cold skin toner compresses provides a radiant look.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chamomile tea (or 3-4 chamomile tea bags)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon witch hazel (optional, for extra astringent properties)
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional, for added soothing effect)
  • A few drops of vitamin E oil (optional, for moisturizing)

Directions

  1. Brew the Chamomile Tea
    • Boil one cup of water and steep the chamomile tea bags in it for about 10-15 minutes.
    • Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool down completely.
  2. Combine Ingredients
    • Once the chamomile tea has cooled, pour it into a clean glass bottle or spray bottle.
    • If you’re using witch hazel, aloe vera gel, and/or vitamin E oil, add them to the tea and mix well. These ingredients add extra benefits, but they’re optional.
  3. Store and Use
    • Store your homemade chamomile toner in the refrigerator. It can last up to 7-10 days.
