Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (6 oz) package of stuffing mix, prepared according to package instructions
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the chicken breasts in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the condensed soup, sour cream, parsley and water until well combined.
- Spread the soup mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- If using, sprinkle the frozen mixed vegetables on top.
- Prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions, then spread it over the vegetables (or directly over the soup mixture if not using vegetables).
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- If desired, uncover and sprinkle shredded cheese over the stuffing during the last 5 minutes of baking.
